Surrendering an Animal

Animal intakes are by appointment only and only as kennel space allows. A $50.00 surrender fee is required to be paid to HMAS for each animal surrendered. HMAS receives no funding other than private donations. We require this fee so that we may continue to help animals in need. If possible, we would also like to have the vet records for each animal as well. Please know, we often have a waiting list for incoming animals. Do not bring an animal to the shelter without making previous arrangements as we may not always be able to immediately accommodate your request.

If you need to return an animal that you adopted from us, please mention this when you contact us and include their shelter name or number as this will help us obtain their previous records.
