How to Adopt

Process

Adopting from HMAS is easy and fun! Here’s all you have to do:

Fill out application.

To adopt the animal you’re interested in, you need to fill out an Adoption Application. Please try to be as complete as possible when filling out the application. If we have any questions or concerns, we will let you know. Our goal is to make the best fit for both the family and the pet. Be sure to ask us any questions you may have. That’s what we’re here for! 

You're approved!

Once the application is approved, you will pay your adoption fee. All medical records will be provided to you along with a sample of the food they've been eating while in our care.

Bring them home.

The next step is the best part! You and your new family member get to go home together. To ensure a happy ending, all of our staff is available any time by phone to help answer questions, solve problems and give moral support. Also, don’t forget to share with us all the good news. It’s always fun to hear about the animals we have had in our care and to know they are safe and secure in their new homes.
