Animal Fostering

Wanted: Foster Homes

Foster homes are important because it gives our shelter animals a much needed break from the animal shelter environment. Many cats or dogs that do not adjust well to the shelter environment will thrive in a home. We are in need of shelter homes throughout the year for our dog and cat population. Often, in the spring, we will have stray orphaned kittens that need to be hand raised. We also are in need of families to host pregnant mama cats. Once the kittens have been born and are at 8-10 weeks old, the mama cat and kittens transition to the shelter environment. Dogs also enjoy a break from shelter life and you get to help make them more adoptable so they can eventually be placed into loving homes.

HMAS will provide all food, litter, and supplies needed for the care of the animals.  An application process is required.
