It is because of the community's support with various fund raising efforts throughout the year that we are able to maintain our facilities and properly care for the animals at the shelter.

 Our "Cans for Critters" campaign is a great way for the shelter to raise money all year-round.The trailer is located in the HMAS parking lot. If you're looking to clean out your garage, why not bring those cans over? We would be most grateful and the monies raised from the cans goes directly into helping the animals and funding the good work of our shelter. Thank you.

 Our annual Bowling Fund Raiser will once again be held on Sunday March 9th at the Hutch Bowl. We will be bowling three games. The cost is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. This includes the games and shoe rental. There will be drawings for door prizes.

 The Heart of Minnesota Animal Shelter will once again be participating in a Rummage & Bake Sale at the McLeod County Fairgrounds this September 6th and 7th. Thanks to your generous donations, we hope to raise much needed funds for the shelter animals. Contact Roberta Yates to arrange pick up of your items. |
 Once again, we will be holding our annual Paws on Parade event to give proud owners a chance to show off their pets and meet fellow pet lovers.
This year's Paws on Parade will be held on Saturday, May 17th. Registration begins at 9:00 AM, and the walk will begin at 10:15 AM. Pledge forms are available at the shelter and at many participating businesses throughout the county. Contact HMAS for more information. Be sure to join us for lots of great prizes, food, demonstrations, and micro chipping.
